The Senate President has come out to strongly deny as media hatred and smear campaign against the House the "rumour" gaining ground about a proposed N5 fuel price hike. He said the report is the handiwork of those hell bent on presenting the senate as"insensitive".

The Senate, he said, will never support any move to add 5k to the price of petrol.

While eagerly awaiting the personal denial of Sen Kabiru Gaya (APC North), the fellow whose committee allegedly sponsored the bill, I wish to appreciate the nigerian Media, Civil Liberty Organisations and concerned individuals for helping to spread this "rumour" to the point of Senate "denial".
